It’s A Movement!
Glossed and Gritty is more than a magazine – it’s a MOVEMENT! We are building a community of Collision DisruptHERs and everyone who supports them!
For too long, women have been bending and minimizing themselves to fit into the mold of what it means to be a collision technician, a painter, an estimator, a shop owner… And they’ve proven themselves time and time again, and yet we still hear the same old diatribe: “Women don’t belong in the shop.”
Well, we disagree! A woman’s place is wherever the hell SHE decides it is. And she should feel free to step into that place without needing to reduce herself in any way to “fit in.” So, instead of fitting into a mold, we want to lead the charge to BREAK THE MOLD!
WE’RE BREAKING THE MOLD!

Currently, women make up less than 5% of skilled trades workers, including in the collision repair shop.
While that needle has been slowly increasing over the past few decades, the biggest barrier preventing more women from entering the field seems to be the lack of women already working as collision professionals.
So, how can we change such a self-perpetuating cycle? By painting a clearer picture of what it means to be a woman working in this male-dominated industry, to be a Collision DisruptHER!
