     Maybe that’s why back-to-school season feels so relatable, even when we’re long past our school days. Because starting over, stepping up or trying something new rarely comes with a guarantee that you’ll feel ready. Sometimes, you just have to show up anyway.

     And that brings us to this issue of Glossed & Gritty – because if there’s one thing we’ve been thinking about lately, it’s confidence…or more specifically, the confidence gap.

     Why do so many incredibly capable women question whether they’re qualified enough, experienced enough, knowledgeable enough or ready enough – even when everyone around them can already see what they’re capable of? And what happens when we stop waiting to feel confident and start acting like we belong?
